Neil Haboush is a Montreal businessman who advocates for the benefits of business etiquette and practicing yoga and meditation.
I am currently reading “The Accidental Entrepreneur: 52 Things I Wish Someone Had Told Me About Starting a Business” by Susan Urquhart Brown. This is a book that speaks powerfully to the interpersonal aspects of self-employment as well as the practical nuts and bolts of the entrepreneur world.
Susan’s book is an amalgamation of a pep talk and tough love to keep you on track and focused.
Susan is someone who has not only walked her talk, but she understands the entrepreneur world. Her advice is practical and real as well as inspiring.
Susan has taken the lessons she learned over a decade of managing her own business and creates a roadmap for you to take yourself from the status of an accidental entrepreneur to that of an intentional entrepreneur with a thriving business.
For those considering entrepreneurship, this book contains easy exercises and a reality check to determine if the entrepreneur life is fit for you. This book is filled with marketing and sales tips designed to move your business beyond that just getting by to the successful.
The greatest thing about this book is that it was written by an entrepreneur for an entrepreneur readership. It is written in simple, clear and understandable English. For the next few days I will continue to blog bits and pieces of wisdom as I finish reading this book.
